Raj Shah is the Founder and Managing Partner of Latitude Capital.
Raj most recently served as the 16th Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, where he was credited with transforming the agency via innovative public-private partnerships and new technologies, including the development and leadership of President Obama's Power Africa and Feed the Future Initiatives. Raj previously served as Undersecretary and Chief Scientist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and led Global Heath, Agriculture, and Financial Services programs at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Raj is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business, the University of Pennsylvania Medical School, and the University of Michigan.
Frank Perez is a Managing Partner and founding member of Latitude, bringing more than 30 years of deep global energy sector expertise to the team.
Frank most recently served as an Executive Officer and Head of Power & Water for the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company ("TAQA"). He was also a member of TAQA's Board Of Directors Executive Committee. Frank previous served as the President and Co-Founder of Southern Light & Gas, and held executive roles at Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) Global. Frank is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business Executive Program and Tulane University.
Bhavin Shah is a Managing Partner and founding member of Latitude and a private equity veteran who brings over 20 years of expertise to the team.
Bhavin previously led and managed special situation funds at Mount Kellett Capital, Oak Lane Partners, and the Carlyle Group. He also led infrastructure-oriented investments for the Soros-Chatterjee Group in India & Asia, and held senior roles in McKinsey & Company's India offices. Bhavin is a graduate of Harvard Business School and the University of Michigan.
Jose Quesada, CFA, is a Managing Partner and founding member of Latitude Capital, bringing over 30 years experience in power, water and utility sectors in emerging markets.
Jose has held several senior roles at the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company ("TAQA") and served as a senior power sector advisor to the Abu Dhabi Investment Council - one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds. Jose was also a founding partner at Southern Light and Gas Company, and held senior roles at NextEra and Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG). He holds an M.S. in Finance from Florida International University and a BA from the University of Florida.
Mike Muldoon is an Investment Associate at Latitude Capital where he supports the team’s fundraising and investment efforts.
Prior to joining Latitude, Mike spent four years at USAID’s Development Credit Authority, where he originated, structured, diligenced and implemented eleven credit guarantee transactions mobilizing over $180,000,000 in financing for businesses across Africa. His experience includes structuring transactions focused on the power sector in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia and Uganda in support of USAID's Power Africa initiative. Mike earned a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
Ben brings a decade of Africa-focused policy and investment experience as an Operating Partner, where he focuses on business development and external relations for the firm.
Ben is the founder of Movement Partners, an investment advisory company focused on emerging market supply chain financing solutions, as well as a former Obama Administration appointee where he served as Chief of Staff at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and later as the Director of USAID’s $3 billion financing division, the Development Credit Authority (DCA). He has also served in a range of roles at leading development organizations, including ONE and the Clinton Foundation. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University.
Joe brings over 30 years of global power sector experience as an Operating Partner to Latitude Capital.
Joe most recently served as the former Vice President of Business Development at TAQA, and previously served as Vice President and Chief Development Officer, as well as other senior roles, for CMS Energy prior to their divestiture of their international business portfolio. He also led the power development function for CMS for the Middle East, Turkey, India and Africa, and developed and implemented $6 billion in new power projects across Morocco, UAE, US, Ghana and Saudi Arabia. Joe holds an MBA and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
